Al-Qaeda: Kill the Christians

Lest anyone doubt the intentions of the enemy, an al Qaeda terror manual has resurfaced which explicitly argues for, justifies and demands the death or subjugation of all Christians.
As my friend Patrick Poole writes in FrontPageMagazine.com, “A Guide for the Undecided on the Legitimacy of Killing Christians is an extensive theological warrant deeply rooted in Quranic and Hadith sources for the killing of Americans.” But of course it’s more than that: the very focus of the title makes it clear. While Americans may be in view, the real issue is Christians, the chief obstacle to al Qaeda’s agenda in the very most practical terms. And in their fascist view, everyone unwilling to bow the knee to their god in their way must die.
Liberals tend to downplay the religious aspect of the war, or slough it off as “all religions are equal, and equally dangerous.” But al Qaeda puts the lie to both these premises: good luck finding too many Baptist churches out on jihad (or rioting in the street every time someone makes fun of them), and good luck finding an Islamist prepared to abide “equality” of any viewpoint other than their own. Leftist biases obscure the reality: we face a religiously-energized totalitarian force. The choices are simple: resist or serve.
Abramoff Implicates Harry Reid

UPI and ABC report that disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff has implicated incoming Democratic Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid in the ongoing bribery scandal.
A source close to the investigation told ABC that Abramoff alleged that more than $30,000 in campaign contributions to Reid came from Abramoff’s clients. The lobbyist reportedly claimed that Reid agreed to help on Indian gambling issues, ABC said.
Along with the Murtha and Hastings bribery scandals, the new Democrat Congress may prove to be the most corrupt in history before it even takes office.

Evangelical Boom in France

Fox News reports today that Evangelical Christianity is booming in, of all places, France! The country best known for its persecution of the Huguenots and its effort to completely annihilate Christianity in the 1790s has seen an eightfold increase — to 400,000 — in evangelicals over the past few years, with all trends pointing to more to come.
In conjunction with D. James Kennedy’s report that Evangelism Explosion has seen over 32 million conversions over the past five years, and Franklin Graham’s statement that more people have come to Christ through their crusades and other efforts in the past two years than in the entire preceding history of Billy Graham Ministries, its easy to see how many people believe that a quiet but very real global revival is underway.
It’s a great time to be alive.
