Conservative Talk

"We have gone so far that it almost seems a rule, originally designed to guard against violation of the Constitution, has become an aggressive campaign against religion itself. And isn't that the very thing we set out to guard against -- domination of religion by the state? "

-- Ronald Reagan

Sherri’s Surgery: Good News

I just wanted to let everyone know that Sherri came through surgery very well, and is resting comfortably (currently watching “What Not To Wear” on her new flat-screen). The lymph nodes appear to be clear of cancer, and for now at least, all appears well.

I want to thank everyone for all your prayers and emails. They mean the world to her and to us. And of course there is a continuing need, as she faces additional chemotherapy and radiation as well as recovery from surgery. We are ever aware that we are in His hands, and our trust is firmly in Him, no matter what He may do.

But on this day, at least, He is doing exactly what we would have Him to do, and in many respects better than we could have reasonably asked. And we are very grateful to Him, as well as to you.

The covenant holds,
Rod, for Sherri, Dolly, Archer and Haley
