AARP Who? Huge Majorities Back Social Security Private Accounts

Published by Rod D. Martin April 1st, 2005 filed under Social Security, Economics, Rod D. Martin, TheVanguard.Org

Newly released Opinion Dynamic/Fox News poll: huge majorities support private accounts in all age brackets. Most enthusiastic: those under 30 (who also stand to gain the most, or lose the most if nothing’s done), who back Personal Retirement Accounts by a whopping 76%. Most surprising: seniors, who despite the AARP assault on President Bush’s plan, also back PRAs by 56%. A landslide by any other name.
